  • Lapis Lazuli boosts the immune system, purifies blood, lowers blood pressure, cooling and soothing areas of inflammation. It alleviates insomnia and vertigo and overcomes depression.
  • Lapis lazuli legends are among the oldest in the world. The myth of Inanna the Sumerian goddess of love, and her descent and return from the underworld may date from as early as 4,000 BCE. Inanna entered the underworld bearing the insignias of her rank, including a lapis lazuli necklace and rod.
  • Lapis Lazuli has timeless associations with royalty and deities. People believed the stone contained “the soul of the deity, who would ‘rejoice in its owner.’”
  • In Ancient Egypt, pharaohs favored Lapis Lazuli, and judges wore emblems of Maat, the goddess of truth, made from the stone.

All our pieces are cleansed and charged so they are ready for their owner to wear and benefit from their Energy, Beauty, and Healing Properties.

💖It's more than just pretty jewelry...💖

I am so drawn to this beautiful, historical gemstone for so many reasons. First, the color is so vibrant and stunning, it just captivates me.😍

Second, the incredible healing properties of Lapis Lazuli. It is used to encourage self-awareness, self-confidence, self-knowledge, peace and harmony, compassion, morality, helping you to be in a good mood throughout the day while wearing it. (❁´◡`❁)

Lapis lazuli is a grounding and protective gemstone. This deep blue gemstone with pyrite inclusions can help you activate the courage to fulfill your dreams and desires while feeling safe and sound. Its other properties are effective in soothing inflammation and help with both respiratory and nervous system problems.

Lapis lazuli remains one of the oldest known gemstones. Dating as far back as 6,500 years, during the Neolithic Age, numerous cultures prized the stone for its intense blue color.

One of the most fascinating stories I researched was the Sumerian goddess of love, .👸Inanna, wore a lapis necklace and beads believed to date back to 4000 BCE. Ancient Mesopotamian rulers were buried with carved lapis objects, and deity temples were decorated with lapis ornamentation. Ancient Romans believed the stone was a powerful aphrodisiac. So ancient Egyptians loved the stone and used it for everything from cosmetics, to amulets, to official stamps. Lapis was believed to have a direct connection with the divine, to attract prosperity, and to have the power to ward off the evil eye.

The Bible tells us in Exodus 28:18 that the breastplate of the high priest Aaron was encrusted with 12 precious stones. The center gem in the second row is lapis lazuli. There have also been stories over the centuries that 🤴King Solomon possessed a gold ring made with a lapis lazuli stone that he used to subdue demons. 😈

Though lapis was eventually introduced to Europe during the Crusades, it was reserved only for the wealthiest class. In the 13th and 14th centuries, painters used ground lapis to make ultramarine paint for use in fine art. 🎨
It's so amazing to me that Michelangelo used lapis lazuli powder for the blue colors in his frescoes for the Sistine Chapel.
In the 17th century, it was used by famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer extensively rather than the much cheaper azurite. Looking at the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" painting and the sky of the Sistine Chapel makes me more in awe of their beauty.

In feng shui ☯, lapis represents wealth, abundance, protection, and tranquility. In metaphysical practices, lapis is believed to promote wisdom, memory, and enhanced learning. In healing, it has been used to benefit throat and ear ailments. Lapis is associated with the throat chakra, and since Ancient Egypt, it has been associated with the third eye.

So now you can understand why I'm so drawn to this historical, gorgeous, world-renowned gemstone. I love to be dripping in Lapis Lazuli jewelry, enjoying the healing energy of this ancient gemstone.
